Wow, that was fun!

We played the Beacon Pub on Beacon Hill on St. Patty's Day. Rather than the 2 band show we expected with us and Ionesco, we ended up having 5 bands. Apparently Ruby Shuz, Bipolar Star and Silverhawk had already booked the night months ago, but that fact was lost on a crashed hard drive. So, the poster below is woefully inadequate for covering the amount of rock that occurred.

Normally an overbooked show can be a recipe for disaster, but this one turned out to be a blast. Rob from Bipolar Star, worked the cellphone and the logistics to a tee and we shoehorned all of us into 1 bill using one drum set (with huge toms), 1 superloud bass amp, one huge 88-key keyboard (Ionesco only), 4 stopwatch-fast set changes and countless guitars, basses, amps, vocals, beers, sandwiches and a death-by-chocolate cake. Did I mention that it was Jessie(from Ruby Shuz)'s, birthday? She even had an after-party that won't be discussed here.

On top of being very cool people, all the other bands played great shows as well. So, definitely check out the links above and watch for future shows involving one, more or all of us. There was even an appearance by Seattle music luminary Matt Brown from NadaMucho.com who came to see Ruby Shuz and caught our set before heading off to his own 10th Anniversary Show at Chop Suey that same night (with its own killer lineup). If it sounds like we're sucking up to him, you're paying too much attention.

On top of all that, we debuted a new song we've been working on called "Edith Came Quickly." We blew (stumbled?) out of the gates and barrelled our way through it, but everyone seemed to dig it. You can check it out for your self, since Ellen caught it on video.

Chris - solid
Keith - iffy
Matt - slackin'
